ViBreathe (Haptic Textile)

ViBreathe (Vibrate + Breathe) is a wearable haptic device for breathing training.

Unlike traditional audio and video for meditation, ViBreathe combines tactile and visual feedback via vibration motors and LEDs. Different from smart watches that can only provide one-dimensional haptic feedback, our approach enables users to feel the signals spreading across the arm, making the breathing guidance easier to follow. Additionally, the whole device is fully customizable. The decorative textile is easily detachable thanks to the magnetic fabric. The waveform generator can provide different haptic feedback by sending different waveforms. The circuit can be programmed to adjust the intensity of vibration and the breathing rate according to different needs.
